Risk Reduction Studies

Exercise may reduce the risk of breast cancer by 30% to 40% compared to sedentary women.2 This according to Yale University School of Medicine research. And a new study reported by Johns Hopkins University and Moores Cancer Center at the University of California, suggests that breast cancer survivors who both eat a healthy diet and exercise moderately may reduce their risk of breast cancer mortality by half. Survivors who exercise regularly may also lower their risk of diabetes, osteoporosis and heart disease.3

A study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology reported that exercise reduced mortality from all causes in breast cancer survivors by 50%, when combined with a healthy diet – a result that is true for both lean and obese women.

Get the Facts. Reduce Your Risk.

Because the risk of developing breast cancer is not the same for all women, every woman should be proactive in knowing and addressing her own risk factors.
